I wrote answers to all of the evens and some additional problems as well. Check out the images below and be ready for the test. Hopefully school will be open on Thursday.
Here are the answers to the study guide for the chapter 6 assessment. Due to the size of the images, you'll have to use the zoom option to adjust your view of the page.
On the off chance that you're home, bored of yet another snow day, and looking to improve your math skills, here are the answers to the homework. Check your work and go back to anything you miss to find your error and correct it.
The new videos for chapter 8 were shot a few years ago using some old technology, a camcorder, a tripod and paper/pen.
I hope you like these retro videos. I've recently been trying to get my Bamboo Pen to communicate with my new MacBook. There has been little success.
Just this morning I tried again and found a few apps for sketching that have worked, though the writing is not smooth and the options to type text and add images is not what you will be used to. Call it a work in progress. The chapter 9 videos are largely attempts to get information out to you in a timely manner while also trying to find a good way to work out these videos from home. If you have suggestions for different apps that I could use, please post them or email them directly. As the year progresses, changes to this website are minimal. WE're adding video and worksheets, posting the occasional blog and updating the review tabs.
One BIG change is the on-line textbook that is now available. Check our Resources/On Line Textbook. No longer do you need to worry about forgetting your textbook at home. If you've been into PowerSchool to check grades, you should know that there is only one major assessment and a couple quizzes in at this time. The first 24 point quiz was something that guided the remediation sheets that are available here for those that are interested. The second 'quiz' grade was the in-class and homework from the Thanksgiving break. Those 21 points you needed to earn from the multi-colored sheets is reflected in your points earned out of 21. Important to note that even with a number at or near 21, many mistakes were made and as those corrected answer sheets come back, going back to look at your errors can be very important.
Finally the chapter 6 assessment is on Tuesday Dec 7th in class. This will be most likely the last major assessment before the middle of the quarter. Study with the study guide, the Jeopardy game and the remediation sheets as needed to be ready. As for the first Benchmark assessment, those retests are going to be mandatory for anyone not scoring at least a 70%. Retests are available to anyone who is interested. For many, the process has already begun. Use Power |
